Illumen Capital and Racial Bias

Given the current times and BLM, I am happy to share and promote an investment I made into Illumen Capital, which is a fund of funds that invests in venture funds that make a commitment to the racial bias issue of inclusivity.  I worked with the founder, Daryn Dodson, at Calvert where he managed our venture Special Equities portfolio.  Great guy, African American, Stanford Business School.  I serve on his investment committee.
When you think of white power structures in the country, these funds that decide which entrepreneurs get funding is a critical function. Implicit bias exists in all of us, and increased sensitivity needs to happen where the function is so pivotal to a more just society.  More info on Illumen can be found here:https://docsend.com/view/2dawpdw5hzvraxuz.  Illumen may be still open for investment and has over $60m in commitments.  Daryn was recently featured on CNBC tv.  I am so proud of this guy and his great work!
